Floppy wobbly shoot to pierce?

Howdy. I have a PGP that I've just disassembled and the piercing pin is very loose and wobbly. Is this normal? The other PGPs I have had we're instapierce or had PPS parts. I have a replacement with a longer brass sleeve on the pin and its pin is rock solid. It shoots and pierces fine, but I've gotten some odd results over the chrono. One shot was 260 and the next was 150 then back to 258. I'm wondering if its (cue the 70's porn bowchicka wow wow music) hitting the edge of the hole and not penetrating it because its too floppy which is causing the valve not to open enough.

The cup seal is in great shape. Should I replace it?

That was one of various styles of cupseal that sheridans used. I've never had an issue with them before. When you think about it, they won't wobble much because they are guided by the hole in the chamber plug.

If it is a stock pgp, in my experience they tend to have poor efficiency/consistency. Though dipping down to 150 sounds like a partial rollout to me.

Sounds to me like the valve and main springs are worn and in need of replacements..
Mad (here) sell them at good prices.
It also sounds like sniper42 said: partial rollout - check your paint to bore size

Contacted Mad yesterday for springs and seals. Paint is definitely too small. Valken graffiti and its .681 on the mic.

Thanks guys.
