PGP PA project Blank Canvas
I have been tasked to repair the arm of a PGP PA. The arm cracked out of the plastic handle. The handle is a write off so I came here.
So, instead of just fixing it, I wan to make this PGP the best it can be!
I have access to a machine shop, MIG welders, lathe, drill press, taps, mill, blocks of aluminium and a multitude of hand tools. And access to a PB shop inventory, so I can get airlines and stuff easily.
Are there any mods I can do with those materials?
I also want to make it use air only. No co2 for her anymore!
(I will upload pics later, Imgur being weird)
Look for WALZ builds here in the Sheridan section.
A blow torch and some solder and some hand tools should be about all you need to do some serious customization on any brass gun. The mill will be very handy for making nice straight cuts and clean lines with most work you might want.
You can make them work very nicely off co2 but HPA is a good choice as long as your ok with having a big tank. I personally like Sheridan's with 12g's because you can hide the power let and have a very streamlined gun. There are a lot of good builds in this section with some good tips and ideas for customizations..
Could you point me in the direction of pgp pa mod how to's?
Also need to know to to fix/make a new pump handle and arm
If you are looking to create a pneumatic assist PGP, check out this build thread from Big Old School.
That should give you some ideas.
I saw an air only PGP somewhere on here earlier. Any how to's for that?
I'm confused as to what you are looking for. Are you after a constant air set up? What do you mean by PA?
Its the cartridge valve pgp
Ah ok so a PA series PGP. Got ya. What are you looking to do to it?
make it run exclusively HPA. Better pump handle decent paintjob/polished brass, custom hand grips, detents, other easy to do mods.
