My Christmas KP On Christmas eve day, I received an email from a person I had bought some old markers from, thru craigslist, over a year ago. He had been cleaning out the attic, and came across a little gem he described as "a paintball shotgun, with Racine Wisconsin on it". He had kept my old email, and gave me first crack at it. Of course, I instantly replied, asking for a pic, with fingers crossed. Bingo. The last two guns I bought from him were a total of $60, and we had a friendly business deal. I ran my idea past the wife (just had to this time) and she gave the green light. So, I offered him the same, plus $10 if he could meet me locally. I was hoping he'd find the offer acceptable. He was quite pleased with it. So, I picked it up tonight. My very first ever KP. After years of hunting down my "unicorn" (Gone in 60 Seconds referrence)..ie: a bargain-basement KP, it literally fell into my lap. To top it off, I had sworn off searching craigslist and ebay for at least 6 months, to keep a tighter reign on my funds. But, I just couldn't pass this one up, when it found me. So, the moral of the story...always make sure you're polite and friendly with your buyers/sellers...you never know when good karma will come back to you, unexpectedly. It needs a little love. Missing it's feed plug and CO2 plug/rod, and a minor dent in the feed tube. It was a former military issue training aid, and was out-processed by the Defense Reutilization Management Organization annex at the St. Juliens Creek, VA, Naval station. Apparently KP2's have a national stock number (NSN)! 100500RFLPLT. It has 1/8 stenciled in red paint on the stock (possibly 1/8 Infantry), and the DRMO property sticker on the other side. The thing is clean as a whistle inside, and is still oiled like it just came out of the arms room. It has the crispest trigger I've ever felt on any Sheridan. God bless the military for keeping up their equipment. So, on to the pics! ![]() ![]() ![]()

A real NSN is all numeric, I can decode some of what it states: N53531 is the unit DODAAC or the Unit ID N is Navy 6100 is the julian date the document was cut (could be close to turn in date but not always the case) so that means 6=2006 100 means 100the day of year A036 is a sequence number could be daily or running. NSN 1005 is weapons FSC (federal stock class) just like real weapons the rest is made up and up to the supply who cut the DTID or DRMO personnel when it was input. 00 could be anything (rifleplatoon) hard to say. one digit short either way The last part is the sign in ID of the DRMO clerk who did the input. I ran the DRMO at Fort Drum for 6 years Last edited by paintslinger16; 12-28-2007 at 09:56 PM.. |

And, if I can dig one up, a feed plug with a leash. Anyone know who may have them? And, of course, a PPS tune up at some point.
