I always wanted one of these.

Sheridan VM-68 (Tiger) Marker - eBay (item 110210073918 end time Jan-06-08 12:29:16 PST)

Just won this today. I think the price is good looks to be in pristine condition and comes with Original box, Owners manual, Valve adjuster tool, barrel & adapter, Ball feed and VM-68 semi-auto marker.

What do you guys think?

Also how do you get the co2 to mount out the front?
or is that how they all mount?

Thanks guys.

There is an ASA in front, that little silver thing sticking out there... its the default config for the vm, and I like running the bottle up front. the only downside is the barrel prevents you from running large tanks. some barrels have revented me from using anything larger than a 9 oz co2 up front, but with the stock barrel you should be fine running a 12 oz up there.

Nice snag, i think you'll love how they shoot!

I don't think a 12 oz tank will fit. That's why a lot of Vm fans find 10oz tanks, use a VTS or a dual tank setup. The price is good for the condtion it's in and they are a lot of fun to use on the field but a pain to adjust the velocity on.

i cant really tell from the picture, but i think its missing the cut-out on the right side, making it a pmi3...good grab! be ready for recoil!

The PMI-3 was the original gun. I don't remember all the reasons that it changed names, but with some slight body changes it was later sold as the VM-68. One of the very noticeable differences is that they VM-68 has ambidextrous cocking choices (cocking lug holes cut on both sides of body), and the PMI-3 only has the one side cut for it.

Check out vm68.com, Chris Mader has some wonderful information about these guns.

if it does turn out to be a pmi3, its not a bad thing, quite the contrary! the first marker i bought was a pmi3 and i still have it...i consider them more valuable than a vm-68 just due to age, and this one looks to be in beautiful condition, kudo's

I agree, PMI-3s do seem to have a higher value. Especially in the condition that that one seems to be in.

Slightly off topic, but every one of these I've owned has turned slightly red over time. The black models and the silver models don't, but the tiger striped models must've been poorly anno'ed or something because the black quickly fades to purplish, and then eventually close to red.

I believe the name was changed from PMI-III to VM-68 because of the falling out that Sheridan and Pursuit had. Sheridan was making the guns and Pursuit was marketing them.

Either way VM's are a decent novelty in my eyes. Many folks love them based soley on their "tank" like characteristics. I always enjoyed how my VM shot...It had this short but heavy feel to it...and as mentioned, a nice kick.
