What to do with wood?

Yea right, not mine. Those belong to chplnstone. Well mostly. The stock and trigger group on the top KP was traded to my by chplnstone. I had been wanting a *wood* for a couple of ideas that I had been throwing around and it doesn't look like they will pan out. I am now left with deciding what to do.

I could mail it to Palmers with my life savings and wait until I'm to old to play paintball... I'd probably go for a trick painter...

I could snag a houndstooth or 'phoon and avoid the wait...

I could grab a corroded hunk of brass (sorry guys, I'm just not that into old brass) and convert the stock to fit a p series clunker.

I could sell it here, where it would sell in a matter of minutes for the same value I traded it for...

... or I could try and piece together a kp body and internals. This seems like the least likely option but would seem to me to have the best outcome.

It is entirely possible that I may see the light and become a lunatic brass whore like the rest of you loonies, maybe you guys can help.

If you have the stock and trigger group ... find a decent priced Houndstooth... converting it to wood is pretty simple... I could even do it for you.... If you got all the pieces together...

Converting a phoon to a hurc is a little more involved and I haven't done that yet... but if your just looking for a painter that's not too bad...

Yea it got here today chplnstone, incidentally the gun you traded for also got mailed today... Insured parcel post should be there in 7 days.

I've always liked the look of Palmer's satin nickel finish. Never been able to decide on a palmer marker to fall in love with.

Basically, I'd rather sell the stock than put some p series clunker in it. I'll let some other brass whore do that. I'm more in love with the wood than I am with the brass. The original plan was to fit a nightmare long barrel on that stock, but it turns out I'm gonna have to turn down the trigger group on a lathe to get it to fit inside the nightmare body, drill a new mounting hole, and rig a pump handle. All doable, but probably not worth the effort. The nightmare is more valuable without the wood, and the wood is more valuable without the nightmare. I'd be cheapening them both if I were to continue.

With this wood I'd consider snagging a houndstooth off of ebay, they come around often enough. I probably wouldn't buy one without having this wood to put it on.

The other avenue I'd like to explore is a KP body. Heres where you "experts" come in. Can custom fabricated kp bodies be made? Are there a few old bodies circulating without stocks? Internals? Aside from the common knowledge that KP's are the peak of brass whoredom I dont have a feel for how hard its gonna be to line this stuff up. Can you guys educate me? I'd totally understand if you guys point me to the houndstooth route, as that seems doable with minimal effort.

Well I got a stock and I got a trigger group. That leaves the gun part. body/valve/hammer/springs/bolt/air... you know, uhh those things.

Ideally Id get myself a long barreled kp looking thing, either left feed or spring fed. I like the kp look with the lower tube 12gm knob sticking out in front of the muzzle. Not sure what that would cost, but that stock is asking for something long.
