I fixed my KP2, yay!

go me

so the last time I played my KP2 sharted a seal . . . I figured it was the the front seal for the 12g. Well, since I am going to JI on the 10th I figured I'd better get off my duff and fix it. And besides - the instapierce from Mad Customs came in the mail

it turns out it was not the 12g seal, but the front o-ring on the valve . . . go figure. I stuffed the instapierce in, threw it all back together, and tested for function. It works like a champ.

good thing too . . . I was having a cruddy day. I spent too much time today chasing unlabeled fiber connections at work (which with the place being 60+ acres in size can become real tedious), had a server upgrade turn into a need to restore from last nights backup, and had my work laptop shart its hard drive. I needed the small victory of a simple Sheridan repair

and here is a pic of the KP2

yeah, its been to PPS . . . tuned, wedgits, the spring feed, the bolt

the stock is beat . . . but it matches the overall patina the gun has, and besides . . . with how I play I don't need some purty looking KP, cuz it won't stay purty for long

lol

I am looking forward to this Sunday

Hey Phantom Power - if you look closely at the pic you'll find the big nut

Came out very very nice.....

I'd like to find a way to clean up the brass and then evenly patina it like this... You had another one that had a similar look... Very even...

Use her well....

Look at sporting goods stores.. it's for shotgun shells and is made to fit on the stocks of shutguns exactly as bored has it. Thay run between $10-15 at most and you can sometimes get them cheaper.

I actually just bought one for mine. It's an Uncle Mike's neoprene shotgun butt stock shell holder (#8849-3). Fits real nice and it's got a no-slip inside. Bit of a pain going on but I guess that's a good thing.
