Thread size of the pull rod on the back of the bolt

Sorry if the title wasn't very descriptive, but what I'm asking is what is the thread size of that rod that sticks off the back of the bolt on most brass sheridans that you pull to release the pump arm. Mine is missing the nut head thing and I can't pull it out to release the pump arm, so I figured I'd just try and find a nut that would fit on there. Help!

So your asking the thread size for the knob for a speed demon bolt. That might make it easier!

lol I guess so, I wasn't quite sure what to call it. Yes, that's what I'm looking for.

Unscrew a frame screw and put it next to it and compare... if they are the same then it's 8-32.

If you have a bottomline/dropforward screw put that next to it and compare... if so then it is 10-32.

That's the best I can do... that knowledge is long washed away.
