| MCB Member | I agree with not polishing it, my way of thinking is, if the marker is hammered then polishing is acceptable, if it is decent shape leave her alone

| Active Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Denver, Colo. | I have them both ways.... My baby looks pretty much like yours. I actually got lucky with it, it came to me as a NOS still in the box marker. I might touch up the paint someday.... On the other hand, I have 4 more in various stages of unpainted. All of mine are pretty grungy though. I don't especially care for polished brass....I hate to have something that looked nice until I hand it to somebody to look at. As far as battle grips....Do what I did. I made my own out of 1x4 oak...(Well, old pallet wood...It actually might have been pine) They came out well. I basically copied a stock grip panel, and made is a bit fatter. A word of warning though. Don't lose the pin in the grip, it keeps the panels from spinning around. My wooden grips went on a PMI1 that has a wire stock, so the pin isn't quite long enough to keep the grips from spinning a bit. Catchya on the Flip Side..... Emerald Wolf -- Wishes he had Sergi's talent so he could make an N Frame for his PGP...(I have good sized hands...) |
