PGP Safety Installation Question

I tapped out the safety on my PGP with a punch. I've cleaned everything and am now trying to reassemble to the safety, but I just can't get it reinserted. The safety hangs up on the trigger. Is there a trick to get the safety back in?

i assume the trigger retaining pin is still removed? the safety crossbolt needs the trigger to move as far forward as the frame will let it to pass...it should be able to just squeeze through the round hollow cut in the trigger plate for it...

yeah, the trigger pin has to be removed so the trigger can be moved in the correct location for the safety to slide in.
