Before I bust out the hammer..

The non-cartridge valve in a Long Barrel should just pop out the back the same was as any other, right? I've dissected everything with the valve tool, and I'm assuming the plug is just rusty/gunked up.

Could have the lead ring in it still. I generally drop in a 12 gram once the pierce pin and valve nut are out and just crank the 12 gram in and out pops a stuck front part of the valve.

Well it's C/A so there's no pierce pin, but that's what I was thinking, using 2 (or maybe 3) spent 12s down the front tube + hammer. The lead washer came out with the jam nut, as did the o-ring, so I'm looking at just the chamber plug left in there.

It is threaded on. Your valve tool should have a female threaded side for the removal

Step 8 and 9

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I've gotten the jam nut and the valve body itself out using the tool, it's the chamber plug piece that's still stuck in there. I actually used the PGPOG directions, but since I don't have (or need, since I don't have to worry about fubaring my pierce pin) a valve punch tool, I stopped when they got PGP specific.
