Wow... what is all that brown goo in there?

Looks like all that's left is the chamber plug. Put an empty 12g in the front just like if you planned on gassing it up. Then slide a 1/2" or so wood dowel down behind it. A couple good taps with a hammer on the dowel should pop that chamber plug loose. Might want to mark the dowel at the edge of the gun before you start beating on it. The 12g wont all the way through... only about 3/4" or so (it bottoms out on the permanent sleeve in there). Once it moves a bit, pull the dowel and 12g. You might need a thin dowel or rod to push the chamber plug the rest of the way out.

Man, that is a touchy one though. It looks like someone actually glued the chamber plug in. A bit of heat might help (boiling it) but you can't heat that area up too much with a torch or you'll end up ripping the whole "permanent" sleeve out of there.

It would be snaparen, is there something super special about it? Besides the really nice patina?

It is possible that, that brown is the oring on the face plug. I had a batch of brown viton orings I used for a while, not sure what all guns they went into, but after they were gone, I found out that they or some of them swell. I don't recall if this gun has one or not.

Did it start leaking on you? I will be more than happy to send you a re-seal kit. no charge to you.

It did start leaking, but I'm trying to get both my PMI-I and the PGP working. I'll pay for the shipping.

I'm more interested in how to get the valve out, and if the shim I took out with a screwdriver (somehow) was supposed to come out the front or not.

picture of shim?

Like mad said put a empty 12 gram in there and a wooden dowel then hit with hammer.
That is how it is done. I'm not even sure I had this one apart but none the less new seals will be on the way.

Yeah, I'm not sure what shim you're talking about either. Nothing is supposed to come out the front of the gun.

that, or instead of the dowel and hammer, just screw the nut back on and that should push'em out.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
tlane77 He's got a woody for your woods.
