as Gringo said you need to put some pressure on the striker and pull the trigger, that will allow your sear to drop and the striker will slide by which should make it easier to put the rear cap on.

The correct spring should fit. But it really isn't necessary if you don't have the back cap drilled for a velocity adjuster. Just use some brute strengthto push it down and slap the screw in. Or you can go to a Mom and Pop hardware store later with your back cap and find some springs that fit.

O God, I'm so dumb. I am so dumb. Thank you everyone for putting up with my dumbness/blondness. The endcap is not the back paint tube plug. Well, I feel stupid. Thank you everyone for putting up with my stupid on that issue.

Ok, so let's regroup:
1) Figured out that bolt spring and bearings are optional.
2) Also figured out that endcap is paint tube plug.
What's left?
How do you take off the front of the feed tube? I unscrewed the sight rail, but to no avail. The plug really looks like it's soldered to the middle tube. I even flossed it. (I know, I know) Nothing.

That's the last thing I promise, and then my stupidness will be out of your hair.

you state you took off the site rail, not sure if your mistaken it for the front bead sight, it should be a small brass bead that screws into the front plug.

Most likely it is just gummed up with dirt/paint. You could try dipping the front end in some nice hot water to try to loosen it up and then use some kind of instrument to put down the feed tube and tap out

Err, yeah that's what I meant sorry. I'm completely flustered right now and can't think straight.

Well I have to commend you on your willingness to tear into your gun, I know my wife hates to clean her gun, let alone venture into a gun she was unfamiliar with.

So although you are flustered, keep up the good work!!

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got it out. Thank you bayonet.

Thank you to all who helped me out on this one. Hopefully next time I have a gun issue, I won't mix up my parts. Again thank you all so much.

You'll need to take a pic of yourself with your gun and post it in the appropriate thread
