KP2 or KP3?

Not sure if you guys were all asleep at the wheel or if I made a horrible mistake, but I just picked this up off of ebay:

I'm thinking it's a KP2 DF. It's been palmerized as well. I'm interested to see exactly how the stab is mounted, I haven't seen that arrangement before. Not really wild about how much wood was removed in the CA process, but what can you do.

And just because people like to know (Chad) I got it for $475 including the stab.

Mar, I demand 1.5 points due to my sneakyness.

Short lower tube makes me think KP3 .. but it seems shorter overall than usual.

Older style KP3.. Looks really clean... Best of luck with it....

never seen a stab mounted like that.... There must be a Dummy CO2 12g in the tube and a 1/8" fitting to the stab...

15' ASA tucked under the stock??? or a inline stab with a 45' fitting into the dummy 12g

edit.... looks like the lower tube is capped... still has to have a 12g style adapter in it...

Yup. Kp3. Kp2's and KP2 DF's had full length tubes.

i disagree with calling it a kp3. it could easily be a kp2df. look at the bottom of the grip part of the stock when you get it and see if there is any evidence of a screw hole where the rear of a CA bottle bracket will mount. if it has a hole, it's a kp3. if there isn't a hole, it's a kp2df.

also, the shorter lower tube on the gun makes no difference... there were factory kp2df's that had the shorter lower tubes. you don't see them very often but they do exsist and looking for the hole(as mentioned above) is the only way to tell which model it is.

great grab Frink!!!! let us know about the stock when you get it. i'm curious to know myself.
