KP pumps and lower tubes

I just picked up a KP-3 that was in pieces and missing a few parts. All looks well and I have all but one of the missing parts. I am pretty confident that I can get/make the missing part (it is the piece that screws into the lower tube and the air runs through. The donkey???)

Anyhow, the pump handle that came with it doesn't fit on the gun... It looks just like the pump on my other KP-3, but this one won't fit. I tried a different KP pump handle that I have, and it fits fine.

Are KP lower tubes a different diameter than normal P-series guns?

the tubes are the same as any Sheridan.

That is what I thought. I will have to investigate more tomorrow.
