| The last P Series I owned, I disabled the velocity adjuster by removing the BB, and filled it with JB Weld. I continued to fill the front of the bolt, which I later redrilled, but with a much tighter exit in hopes of retaining more in my 12g case. It worked, but not to the extent I was hoping for. Most shots I was ever able to get were 20, sometimes 22 at best Velo.

| Wow man, you gave up really quickly on this one. Palmer's is never a bad choice but come on...

| All you need is a screwdriver to open up the rva and shim it, and you shouldn't need any tools at all to make sure the velocity choke screw isn't obstructing the air port in the bolt. Just take it out and look into the input (bottom) hole in the bolt. If you can see the screw blocking the port, you want to move it back.

| I CAN'T put any more shims in If I do (which I have tried) I won't be able to cock the gun. Also, I don't have the right tools for adjusting the bolt. Besides, the efficiency is horrible, so I am sending it in for the Performance tune anyways. |

| Endearingly quirky | That's your best bet. They'll get it working great. They did their thing to a PMI-1 I used to have, and it got 35-40 useable shots per 12g.

| The P68 will never achieve these numbers. Don't ask me why.

Don't bother. I'm not really aware of any mods other than chocking the bolt could grant you more shots than say maybe 20. Or 25 at best after a standard Palmerization.

| I am having a similar problem. I cannot for the life of me get the velocity over 200. My bolt has a rear velocity adjustment screw, but no nut on it. I have washers and a brass nut right now but I don't really know what I'm trying to do with it (basically am I trying to screw the nut/washers on there and draw that screw backwards or was it fine being forwards?) I don't know how the choke in this case works. My tank psi is 850 output My hammer spring looks fairly worn. Don't have the tools to get at my valve spring. The inner tube is free of gunk and the hammer is freshly polished I was going to drill the hammer/rear air fitting to accept spyder springs, though I don't know if that will make it any better. I haven't found anything to shove down to artificially boost the spring power, but I don't know if it would give me the 60 fps boost I'm looking for. Alternatively I could hunt for another spring or attempt to stretch this one, though I'd like to do one before the other obviously The paint I am using is 689, the weather is a nice 60 degrees and I am not aware of any gremlins lingering about. Suggestions? A new spring would cost me 20 something from palmers (I am in Canada) so I'm anxious for a home remedy |
