I don't know how the choke in this case works.
As stated, the velocity adjuster is located on the front side of the bolt.
The front of the bolt has a hole that allows air to push the backside of the paintball.
At the bottom of the hole is an allen head set screw.
By turning the screw counter clockwise, it partially obstructs the air port on the bottom of the bolt that allows air flow from the valve to be directed to the back of the paintball.

I am told to remove the bolt from the marker before adjusting the velocity otherwise, the two small bb's that are a detent for the velocity adustable bolt can dent the brass breach of the marker when they are pushed out by the set screw.

The screw on the back of the bolt, outside the gun, holds the pump rod onto the bolt. It is pulled back 1/4" or so( under spring pressure) to release the pump arm.

Some guns have been upgraded to an external velocity adjuster located on the bottom tube spring cap. It is similar to a Spyder for instance, where screwing in a set screw will put more pressure on the mainspring.

Back bottle guns can be modified with an external velocity adjuster also. Palmer's was charging $25 for the mod a few years ago.

Haven't been able to chrono it, though I got the speed up by using an old matrix detent ( the rubber one) and it seems to be packing a bit more of a whallup (through the mat I was shooting at rather than bouncing off of it)

Qwick fix.Send it to PPS. Get the quick strip bolt, the stock Demon is crapp unless you know how to fill it with JB weld.
Have PPS do a valve job too.
Or get a PMI1
