KP3 front end and valve trouble

So I was at the local paintball shop tuning up my newly aquired KP3, getting it chronoed up to field speed. It was shooting 175fps the way I got it. So I dig up a stronger main spring, it's up to 235. Almost there, so I rig up one just a bit stiffer, but I find that there's suddenly no gas getting to the valve. The hammer wouldn't even touch the valve pin as well.

So I try to dig into the gun (no valve tool, yet), figure I'll pull off the CA adaptor, see if uses a 12gram puncture pin type valve pin, maybe see if it's bent or something. Except the CA adaptor won't come off of the gun. Collar unscrews, and the part the hose threads into will unscrew from something inside, but that's as far as I can go. Everthing else won't budge, no matter how hard I pull (threading the part the hose screws into back into the rod inside to pull of course). Am I missing something? Should I pull harder? Should I NOT be pulling?

And if anyone has a picture of the front end of a KP3 pulled out of the gun it sure would be handy.

My roommate has the exact same problem as you do. As far as we can tell, the puncture pin is getting stuck in the CA adapter, so either grinding down the pin a little bit or drilling out the CA adapter a little bit so it doesn't stick should work.

So, how do I get the CA adaptor off? Yank harder? It seems stuck on there pretty good. It does make sence, it seems to have gotten jammed when I was firing out the air in the valve when unscrewing the tank with the new heavier spring. (sure, punish me for trying to save a tank o-ring)

Well, our method was for me to grab the CA adapter, him to grab the butt, and reef as hard as we could. It worked.

hey david glad you got the kp ok but sorry to hear that you're having trouble with it. when i had it i had taken the c/a adaptor off to see if it did have a pierce pin on the valve but couldn't really tell. i did screw in the tank that it came with to see if it was functioning properly but i never shot any paint through it. hope you get everything resolved
