| The one thing I could think of is that the dummy 12 gram could be pushing on the piercing pin/cup seal assembly and holding the valve open. You may want to look at how the dummy is seated and also compare the opening in the face with a uesd 12 gram cartridge to see if the hole is the correct size. If the hole in the dummy is too small I could see the piercing pin not seating correctly. E

You may have torqued the adapter in far enough that it's mashed the piercing seal enough that the adapter/12 gram is now holding open the pin/cup seal. You may want to get a new cup seal.... but the kind with out a piercing pin, especially if you aren't going to use the gun with 12 grams any more. If you are going to continue using 12 grams, then maybe see about a new piercing seal. I'd also wait until one of the other gurus chimes in. E

| Did you remove the valve prior to cutting the hole. It's very possible that you got a piece of metal or debris between the cupseal and valve when you cut the hole.... which now means that your cupseal may be shot. Quote:

if the dummy is pushing the pierce pin, it would be holding the valve closed, not open. the only way the dummy could hold the valve open is if (upon firing) the pierce pin gets stuck inside the dummy. sounds to me like you need a new valve stem or it may have sucked some trash through the valve and got on the valve stem cup seal. take it apart and check for any debris. if no debris is found, check the brass face where the cup seal presses against and the cup seal for any small nicks. | |
