There is a little screw with a flat head... the head is shaped like a pringle chip (you know what I mean right?) so that it fits snug to the inside of the tube. The head goes on the inside of the barrel with the screw portion sticking out the bottom of the tube. You then thread the nut onto that.

Now whats the easiest way to remove the trigger guard?

It may have two rivets holding it to the stock. From the inside of the stock, use a drill to remove the ends of the rivets holding the guard to the stock.
Replace the rivets with long screws and appropriately sized washers and nuts.

Can you also tell me the screw specs for the screw that goes into the pringle screw mount? I really dont want to haul the KP to the hardware store tomorrow.

Gah... no can do, mine has been replaced with something beefier and I sold the screw/nut a while ago.
