some like to strip it to expose the brass just so a natural patina finish will develop.
A thin coat of motor oil is a nice way to add luster to really amplify those characteristics for when you want to show it off.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

Just a good polish once and while, or I believe you can clear coat it.

this is what I used to strip the powder coat off of myy pgp runs about 7.99 for a 12oz can at advance auto

after dismantling your gun, spray on a nice coat and let it sit for a half hour or so (well ventilated area, make sure not to get on skin, burns like a motherfer.)
powdercoat will bubble up,you can wipe off with shop rag or run under tap water while wiping down..

then used 2000 grit wet sandpaper to get it at what it looks like now..

next week im taking it to my buddies chroming shop and going to use some stuff there to get it to a mirror finish..I cant wait.

Brass Lacquer. Or hair spray that contains lacquer like Acquanet has been recommended as well, just not a durable.
