PPS mods

Well I would like to start researching mods for my KP2 that was converted to DF.

I know it will need to be re-barreled and a new side feed created as well.
Can palmers give a KP back its black color?

So

new barrel + widgets
side feed
performance tune
delrin pump handle

possibly a nickle bath.

PPS can do a black zinc finish. it's not as durable as nickel though.

if you want black, go for DuraCoat.

Bell armor is located here in town, I have seen tons of their work. A while back at a gun show they had a synthetic stock and a hammer. I hit that stock pretty damn hard and also hit it with the side of the head hoping to lave a gouge of some kind, None present at all.

I may just give them a call. Do you think I should just clean it up pretty good before I give it to them?

And as for those items that I wish PPS to do to my KP should I consider any other mods? Also will PPS need the full gun and stock or will they just need the barrel section and internals leaving the trigger group, internals and stock here?

If your thinking of going black... side by side you really can't tell a difference... If your going to paint it yourself Duracoat is the way to go, bullet proof and easy to do... The black zinc does look really good and doesn't seem too soft... I had the zinc'd gun apart several times and it still doesn't have any nicks on it...

top pic is black-zinc finish
bottom is duracoat...

i don't think PPS will need the stock, but i'd send everything else to them including trigger group and internals.

I think I will opt to have my tubes nickled, and would like to make my stock look like the lower KP in the above picture. Was that done with dura coat as well?

I got really, really, really lazy that day and gave up sanding Yeah the whole thing is duracoated... Under the pump handle has about 4 or 5 coats and that gun has maybe 1 1/2 cases through it this year with little wear.. The stock feels great with that coating, everything wipes right off of it...
I was going to try the clear coat duracoat on some polished brass and see how it is, sure would beat polishing every few months..
If you do try to duracoat something, be somewhere WELL ventilated...WOO NELLY!!!!

I'm actually changing that out to what the hurc above has, this stab doesn't seem to like my 13/3000 HPA bottle....
