The harder part is getting a trigger that works. (Old) Blue Streak's are the easiest to use, with an almost drop in ability. They are hard to find because of the ability to make Hurricanes from them. (Trigger group and stock).

I took an old sheridan airgun stock and put it on my PMI DF. took a little bit more effort then I thought it would... I had to use my drill press to put a hole threw the stock so it would screw into the existing hole where the gripframe was mounted. and because of the bizarre shape of the trigger groupings sear i had to create a new sear for it. Then I had to attach the trigger grouping to the stock with a bolt and nut so it wouldnt wobble....i might need to do just one more mod to secure the whole deal..

You need a blue streak-type trigger group, but I've used a 22 bolt action rifle stock. Most semi-autos have a hole that's way too big. P

now you say one has to use an old blue streak rifle frame and trigger group. could one use a newer blue streak as well or is the ability to have a hurricane built on a blue streak exclusive to the old frames? what would be the differences between an older and newer blue streak rifle stock and trigger group? much thanks

The new trigger frame will work - it is out of demand since Palmer's won't touch it for a Hurricane conversion.

i have been looking at blue streaks availible for purchase on the web and im finding variations between them. they appear to be mostly cosmetic to my eye. how does one know the difference between an "old" bluestreak and a "new" bluestreak. are there tell tale signs that one can look for? the best i can tell is a thin triger guard and a set back trigger for the "old" and for the new. a trigger set mroe towards the middle with a thicker trigger guard and a heavier, thicker, tirangular shaped front. am i on track here?

edited for spelling

Why won't PPS touch it for a conversion?

The trigger layout is totally different and doesn't work for a conversion..

Usable trigger look like this....

when they're are converted for a Hurc they look like this

Hope that shed's some light ....

Great post, Jimmy.

We might have to steal it and sticky it. Here and at Palmers.
