Side dropout with captured front plug 1 turn release of empty 12 grams Front loading mod with guide rod to keep the spring in place ![]() ![]() ASA threads hmmm... and a 007 plunger and speedwheel. ![]() ![]() spring guide at the bottom ![]() The 007 plunger threads were too fine at 3/8" x 24 so I made one from a 1/2" x 13 tpi Stainless Steel bolt and a new knob to go with it. ![]() Shortened the barrel extension and added a little knurling. How did that darn brass get in there..... ![]() I bored the pierce pin recess deeper in the front plug and beveled the face. I wanted to be able to drop in a 12ie round end first and let it drop into place with out snaging. ![]() ![]() 6

I'll right, I'll bite- name you price, I want one of those brass barrel inserts, and one of those guide rod setups! I can even send you my barrel extension and a whole mag to work with lol... Very, VERY clever improvements to already great mods!

Truly Beautiful, Smiley!!!! Masterful work, you're going to shoot alot of folks with that monster! I broke my last zeus mag recently(first one I've broken) trying to fix one up, but I still have one I reamed out for an inner tube that slid forward to capture the spring. Great way to go instead! The only brass on mine was the bolt/hammer linkage I made, and the Cooper-T cocker detent... If you'd like it I could mail you a like new Nelson challenger camlock changer: I made it into a plug for my zeus, but didn't damage it and took it back apart when I gave away my zeus. It's a 1/4 turn 'push and turn' camlock that opens nice and wide too! You could give it the same awesome treatment you gave the speedwheel, like the speedwheel it's original knob blocks the barrel. That's a sweet system you have now though! It reminds me of good times, I hope it serves you well! Rob
