Freak barrel for a TPX?

I purchased a used TPX and the previous owner bored out a barrel to be used with freak inserts.

Now my question is this:

Would under boring as I do with my Snipers cause breaks? (I typically use a .670 insert) If so should I paint to barrel match or overbore?

Thanks
AJ

I would either match the paint to bore or slightly underbore. If the paint where you are is .680 then I would use .675, don't underbore too much.

Much more than that and I'd expect barrel breaks.

Post results! I'd love to hear of a pistol that's work with Freak inserts. It's a huge selling point for me.
I'll be playing Saturday so I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Might want to try the Python kit for them. Since its specifically made for the TPX, I would hope they'd have taken clearances into account to allow you to use any size insert on it without interference. To be fair though as long as they've been out I don't think I've ever seen anyone post feedback about them.

They have made custom threaded backs by request before. One of the guys on my team years ago had one made. Not sure if they still do it though...

Its not just an insert, its the back, a special front barrel, and 4 inserts. I mean its still pricey but its not like you're just getting the little adapter back like you do for other guns.
