Definitely crazy. I'll put up one of the driver's door they had to cut off to get her out sometime! She ate dinner at a restaurant today, 26 days after getting hit in the side of the head with a 55mph pickup truck. SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS FTW!!! Biteweasel, There's no probably about it! As Jeff Cooper once said, you can't miss fast enough to win a fight no matter how fast you go. Not just drawing up calmly but giving enough time between shots to guage from the previous one. Bear in mind that SMG-60 was his primary for the Tippmann Challenge big game. At that time he had only fired a TPX on a few occasions... Shot me in the back on one of those earlier occasions too . That's Weltman for ya!It was he and Conan against Beaker and I from the GLR in TPXBall. TPXBall is played 2 on 2 on an Xball field. Each person has a TPX and only the single magazine in their pistol, HOWEVER there is a full magazine placed under the X at midfield. A truly challenging and exciting game format, IMO. Rob

| +P for Plenty... Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: LO'L, Florida | --ish 2/10 is played using flags for each team (red/blue) so a win is not solely possible by elimination. The field layouts are changed from standard to create more blind spots toward the middle. The idea being to encourage greater movement to the center as opposed to outside corners and wide lanes. And of course its just 10 rounds per player, no spares anywhere on the field. I do like the concept of TPXBall as I read it here however, it sounds like it would be a fast fun game with a mad rush for that mag.

Thank you Sir! She's been improving rapidly. A physical therapist is coming to the house 3 times a week and working her out. Cheri thrives on that sort of thing. She's pretty much done with the wheelchair as far as she's concerned and is walkering around. Good time to be working 3 days a week, lots of quality time with the missus! The dogs are all behaving well around her so far. French bulldogs, an english setter and an american pointer is a volatile mixture... I saw Manning-is-my-Hero's thread on scenario tips, answered excellently and it got me to thinking. More than most, I'd say, I've run all pistol with pistol players in groups especially at scenario games. It's funny to think this is only 5 years worth: ![]() Between our own GLR pistol runs, running with the Armorsquad pistol brigade or running with anybody going my way, it's something I've thought alot about. My own style lends itself well to working with other players. I can throw the longball. Positions where we're only able to squeeze a few into the front rank don't necessarily slow me down. I can also crawl up front with my face in the dirt and both hands free. But that is a different thing entirely. That is me fitting myself into what other people are doing. In the times that I have run with some pistoleros that let me take the reins is when I've gotten to try tactics that work best for the special strengths and weaknesses of the pistol player. Pistol players are better served supporting their squadmates from a greater distance than is normally used, so they have room to maneuver and get engaged at longer distances which tend to even out rate of fire advantages. One thing I've found effective in moving through wooded parts of the field is the cavalry diamond: http://www.waypoint.pwp.blueyonder.c...s/Form_new.gif with a spread distance of about 40 feet, this gives the players away from the point of contact room to maneuver. If contact comes front left the 4 move into echelon left facing toward the threat with 2 moving in between one and 3 to support 3 while 1 breaks for a flank or caps the line and 4 going for the other flank or capping the line, depending on the threat. A threat direct front can turn the formation into a wedge, vee or line depending. Using this formation gives you a flexibility in attack or defense, while exposing the smallest part of your formation to any given ambush. Familiarity with your fellows will soon give you the ability to react to threats without any need for communication, which can give away the locations of other friendlies. With larger groups, 4 man diamonds can be formed into larger diamonds with 4 man groups at each corner. 40 feet between the 2 of one diamond and the 3 of the next, putting 80' between 1s. This would react identically to the 4 man diamond during contact, with 4man '2' moving between 1 and 3 and so forth. This gives all the players in the unit both a dependable, understandable framework and room to improvise within it. In urban settings the temptation is to use military or police tactics. Often at large scenarios, you will run into groups that could give classes on these tactics. These groups are hip enough to be guarding your prime objective, so afford them the respect they deserve. Attempting to move in on them in a conventional manner is not going to succeed. In this setting taking a bunker is usually a bad idea. The death star from which you can slay hundreds isn't going to look too good when a 100 man insert drops behind you. If you're going for a flag, that means the other team has it and can insert on it. If you're going for a mission objective or other agenda these urban parts of the field are where many tough players choose to set up and bar the way. The reality of urban paintball is that somebody has to look around that corner sooner or later or you might as well go home. Do what moves you. Whether it's charging through, pieing or peeking, keep pushing. Eventually you'll find yourself winning more and more of those individual gunfights that swirl in the larger chaos of the scenario. Rob

Good tips. Since I'm a fellow veteran tanker I can vouch for the cav diamond formation. We used that with much success in the army. A squad of four joes who know it would be quite effective.

I received Walt's 007 today from DM6Rocker, it's even more beautiful in person! I also have Walt's new TPX for honing and front rail removal. I will take a video of the honing process for the 007 and the TPX! It's amazing the TPX is over 31,000 serial number already! Where are all the people who told me the TPX was trash that would never even come out, sell or stay on the market, now? Seriously though, I always knew that people wanted pistols, with the choices available from Warsensor, RAP4, Tiberius and Tippmann there's only one pistol segment left empty.... Soon, maybe soon... Rob
