Cool TPX VS Tiberious Arms

Hey all, I've been looking into buying a pistol as of recent and have seen that the two predominant pistols out there are the TPX and what I believe is the T8.1.

Which do you think is better?

I'm looking for statistics/opinions such as-

Efficiency

Magazine Capacity

Feel in the Hands

"Shootability"

Versatility

Overall Convience

Price of gun and Price of Magazines

And if this comes up, No i do not plan on using First Strike rounds Ever. And i would be using this as a primary, and i would most likely never go duel wield, I'm a horrid multitasker

If there is already a thread about this, please post URL

Thank you all in advance

the main question you should ask yourself is are you going to be using the pistol for a sidearm or for a primary?

if you are using it as a sidearm use the tpx if u are using it as a primary then get the tiberius t8.1

I like the TPX for the simple reason that it fits my hand better. My suggestion would be to try both if possible, and pick the one that is more comfortable to you.

I've tried both and I prefer the T8 but I've got big hands. I think you should at least hold each marker to check for comfort. Reload the mags a few times to get the feel. If possible actually shoot/play with them for the sake of comparison.

The T8 is a heavier setup so keep that in mind.

In the end I decided on the Tiberius because I couldn't bring myself to pay near $300 for something made of plastic and built like a cheap toy(TPX).

Edit:

Efficiency wise I'm getting 30 good shots per 12g (up from 26 after some polishing) with my T8. It's a little frustrating to be 2 shots shy of a 4th mag.

TPX would get my vote for a remote setup.

If I had to pay full price for Tiberius mags I don't think I could justify buying enough to have capacity and redundancy. I got lucky and managed to snag a bunch of mags at a really good price in the BST.

You firstly have to feel them, they feel very different. You may hate one or the other.

Secondly, what are you planning on shooting with it?
As back up gun? As a primary in 20 minute games max? Primary in very large 2 day secnarios?

It's all personal taste, don't let anyone one opinion sway your vote here. Find a friend/local player that has them and see if you can borrow/rent them for a day. No one pistol is good for every person. I HATE the tac 8 because I have fairly small hands. It shoots nice, decent efficiency, but I can't stand the feeling of holding a 2 liter as a pistol.

On the other hand, the TPX (for me) naturally aims high (ie my natural position aiming points the barrel at roughly a 5-10* angle above where I'd want it).

I would primary be playing shorter games, under thirty minutes, and using it as a primary. Whats the efficiency on these like?

I've tried a squall, and it feels too cumbersome to me, i want to be able to extend my arm and point and shoot. (I'm a very aggresive player, but what stock class/pistol player isint?)

They're both about 20 shots per 12-gram, although the last few are a little weak. Generally two good mags worth per 12-gram.

I've owned a T-8, a T-9, a 45'd Squall, a Sheridan-framed Squall and shot a few TPXes (I'm even in their first promo video at D-Day '09 saying 'I'd trade my Tiberius for one!). Plus two Zeus G2+s and an ACP. I honestly like the TPX the best. I've found that they all shoot about the same, but the TPX is the most comfortable and best-balanced for a one-handed gun. And while the Tiberius guns have one more ball per mag, the fact that TPX mags are half the price and a quarter the weight balances that out and then some.

As for the CO2 in-gun, it definitely cuts down the reloading time, but some practice and planning can get the time down so it's not an issue.
