TPX Mags drop the first round

Hey everyone! I have been noticing lately that when I pull a mag out of the pouch on my hip/holster that the ball on top has fallen out into the pouch. I think this is due to me running up the field and the ball popping out past the lock, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what a solution might be? Another problem could come from the ball having enough room to exit, might try to stick some cloth in the bottom. Only (inconvenient) solution I have found is turn put the mags in upside down, but that slows my reload time.

7round mags, marballizer field paint

Thanks,
Nox

Try taking the mags apart and stretching the spring that holds the tension on the top retainer bar. I noticed that small paint can sometimes get through regardless. Maybe build up a little "wedgit" with nail polish on the end of the retainer?

Will have to give this a try. Not up for taking apart these mags unless there is paint inside. Thanks for the idea!

I have found this also, only with the 7rds. only a few times so far.

If you do take em apart here's a way I found easy. The method varies only a bit for the 7rders:

I've played a bit with my friends TPX. The best tip I can give here is try not to store clips upside down. The aren't designed for being beaten up outside of the pistol. The catch at the end of the clip is oddly sensitive. It's meant to break away easily.

If you are able to puck the paintball pas it without physically pushing the catch out of the way, then there isn't a lot of strength to hold them in the clip. Slightly modifying it may help, but in reality, it was designed one way. The clips are best stored right side up and due well when not thrown around or juggled.

Sorry if this is late or seems bossy. It's just an observation. I kinda think that Tiberius's clip can take a beating(No loss of paint due to sudden motion) a little better than a Tippmann clip.

7rnd mags seem to do this to me more than the 8rnd mags. So I load my 8rnd mags with 7 and the problem is nonexistent for me with those ones.

I don't have much experience with the TPX mags, but I've got plenty with the Tiberius mags, both the x.1 style and the x.0 style. They can easily drop a round or two if inserted into a tight pouch upside-down. So while the Tiberius mags are very durable in that they don't break, or misaligned, or mis-feed because of impacts. Saying they hold the paint perfectly in an impact hasn't been my experience.
