This is the latch (I tore everything down and reassembled carefully... seems I got the whole thing a bit tighter, but it's not enough: index finger still can't reach the barrel):

As you can see, it's almost useless, as any movement makes gets it out of the square notch.

I tried lowering the metal plate, but I doubt it'll be enough.

I'll try to replace the latch support (#357-021) with some piece of (sturdy) rubber, maybe it'll do some good?
A new rubber piece would push up on the latch more firmly.

Is what I'm seeing that latch won't engage all the way into the hole in the latch plate?

I thought he might also have trouble with the small rubber spacer which sits underneath the latch. Sometimes, it wears out/loses it shape and you must replace it.
Hello, he would get the part pictured 3357-021? What would be the price? It can be sent to the Czech Republic? thank you

@birkoff13: finally, it was the 357-021 (a small rubber piece) that was the origin of the problem.
Replace it with a small spring and voilą (photos when I have time)!

For the part you're talking about (picture 3357-021), it's what we call the latch.
I suggest you go to Crosman | Customer Service | Service Center and search with Brand=Crosman and Model=3357.
All those shops are US, but you shoul be able to contact them, as they are the only hope for us Europeans to get original parts.

If you feel confident enough, you may try to machine it yourself.

Hey I'm a newbie here and I was hoping that someone could give me the dimensions on the Latch Plate (part no. 3357A005).

My gun is missing that plate and screw. If someone could give me dimensions then I could draw it up and get it machined.

OR
If anyone has that part I would be willing to buy it

Ah, the latch plate and screw, very rare and hard to find, as Crosman stopped making them in 1992. It seems there are a lot of 3357s out there without them.

But I just happen to have one left of the five I bought last year. Weird thing is, they were all unthreaded, so I had to purchase a 3mm metric screw and have the plates threaded.

Due to it's rarity (and what they cost me), I could let you have a plate (with screw) for $20 shipped to your door.
