got an aft! :P

I am very excited to use it but terrified at the same time.... It's something I've always thought was an awesome pistol but I am dreading the moment somethin breaks on it....I am not a good tech & this pistol is foreign to me ... I am just a vintage pistol/marker enthusiast and I'm hitting the ground running this pistol is very intresting & I am enjoying learning how to use it so far ...... I am yet to play with this marker and it seems like its accurate because it is a longer pistol .....Who else has an aft around here ? Tell me your UPS and downs... Also tips to maintaining my new old pistol would be appreciated.....

Humm, can't help you for this...

All I can do is give you the VintageRex link (you'll get the owner manual there...)

Good luck!

Raptor springs might work if you start running into velocity issues. I'm not 100% sure there, but Raptors are based on the same design.

The ASA's are held on with industrial epoxy, so take a little care not to knock them sideways on anything, or you could get a leak that is hell to fix. I've only seen it once or twice, but I've never seen it fixed.

The "S" clip that holds in the magazine is also prone to breakage, but it's pretty easily replicated with sheet plastic from your local hardware store. Magazines are hard to come by. If you see any, grab them up.

Also, it's just not fair not to post a photo.

I have one and I have been working on designing a more sturdy rear sight and magazine tube replacement.

They're actually pretty stout little markers. Not a lot to go south on them. Cupseals maybe.

Internally it is an F1 Illustrator.

They have the manual on Vintagerex:

Got a pair of them, (maybe three, not sure if I sold one or not) and about six mags and a few extra of the fingers for the mags. Fun as hell to use. Pity I only got to use them a couple of times before I had to put them away in storage.

Just don't keep the paint sit in the mag tube for too long, or your paint will start to look a little funny and may not want to shoot.

When I get the chance I do have a couple of ideas to make use of the spring fed mags from a couple of other pistols.
