| Grand Poobah | Best TPX mag holder award goes to:
Tuff Seriously, these things are awesome and they come in two sizes: 8 mag: ![]() (this pic is for their 1911 size mags, but you get the point) Amazon.com: TUFF 8 In Line Magazine Pouch (1000D Black Nylon, B92f/GL 17/20/21/22/P226): Sports & Outdoors Or 5 mag: ![]() Amazon.com: TUFF 5 In Line Magazine Pouch (1000D Black Nylon, B92f/GL 17/20/21/22/P226): Sports & Outdoors The cover doesn't work with tpx mags because they are so tall, but they hold the mags incredibly well, tight enough that I can hold it upsidedown and shake it, but loose enough that you can easily pull them out without any fuss. There are also 2 different straps on the back, Molle and beltloop options. So mounting is also very flexible. I wear mine (8 mag) on an NXE extraktion harness on the left side of my back (holster on the right), it's easy as pie to pull them out. It's also fairly easy to put loaded mags back in the slots as the tops of TPX mags are angled. Moving from a Tib8 to a TPX makes me really enjoy these a lot more. The last rig I built was much more bulky and only held 6 mags, this is smaller, sleeker, easier to draw from and holds more mags ![]() ![]() I'd say the only downsides is that the removable cover doesn't work, and they only come in either black or coyote. Amazon has them for $55 for the 8 mag and $44 for the 5 mag. IF you're a prime member you also get free 2 day shipping since they are prime eligible. Other then that make sure you get the size that says "B92f/GL 17/20/21/22/P226" The smaller ones wont work. My pics and vids up tonight. |

The McCann ones are very similar. That is what I use. I like the mags facing out like that. Saves a bit of space.

Definitely similar. It's important with this orientation that the mags go right to the bottom and stay there, otherwise paint can come out inside as you run. I found for my heavily wooded home field that I preferred the ones I got originally on the recommendation of a soldier I know, the Emdom 6o4s. You get essentially the same # of mags for the same footprint in a package more flexible on your belt and more protected from dirt, rain and such but the 6o4s are tougher to return mags to. Once I got the hang of that they became my solid favorite! Rob
