Anyone tried it? (Smash Paintball Tippmann TiPX / TPX First Strike Mod Kit) I did a search and didn't see any references to it in the review/sidearms/tippmann sections. I asked punishers' and they said it's not re-branded. Would be a little bit cheaper than the gunhead option if it works well.

Well, I don't know anything about it but the price is pretty good. If you wanted to buy a spare breech to cut the d-port yourself, and two extra mags, you'd only be saving $10 compared to this kit if you're buying them at retail price, which would almost make doing it yourself well, stupid, to be honest.

I have no experience with short barrel guns and FSR, but from reading what others have written, is there any significant advantage to using FSR as opposed to standard paintballs in short barreled guns? Well, I mean, any advantage given the high cost of FSR compared with the relatively low cost of standard pbs?

I've had good success with my t8.1 and first strikes though I haven't been trying any of the more extreme distance shots. As long as the control bore is about the same they ought to perform similarly. I also have a set of the flasc 9" control bores on the way that I could try in my tipx

It's actually the stock barrel. Internal wise it's all stock except for the GunHead2 first strike breach.
