The PERFECT tpx

what do you guys want?

Longer Barrel?
Freak Bored?
Constant Air? (vert under barrel or bba styles?)
Extra Milling anywhere?

I have one comin as a project... not really sure which way i want to go with it, so input is needed!

Freak bored, polished internals (bolt, regulator, valve..), a better detent like adding a cocker ball mounted in the side.

Not much trigger work to be done if the user wants to keep 12vies. You can shorten the trigger pull if the person plans on using CA.

You've done some good custom mill work on the front shroud. I tried doing some ports on the lip of the stock barrel to vent some gas upon exit.

Some things TPX people have mentioned, re-sculpted the finger grooves, stippling of the grip area with a soldering iron. some people have mentioned sights.

That's all I can think of right now.

I'd like to see if you could make a metal trigger actuator bar that works with magazines. I built one for my Calamity, but it doesn't have the dogleg in it to clear the magazine. I just don't have the skills with the mill or the press to figure out how to put that bend in it and hold any sort of geometry/tolerances. The straight one I made does make a great change in feel to the trigger pull though on my springfed/vert air'd TPX. Much less "mushy", if you know what I mean.

I'm with Rogue on the metal linkage bar or whatever it's called. One thing I'd like is for the blade that presses the button on the valve to be oversized slightly so that I can shave it to my particular pistol or that it be adjustable somehow. This unslops the trigger, minimizes throw and yet ensures full return of the spool on each shot.

I'd also like you to make me 6 new co2 plugs! One fight I lost with Tippmann is that I think the co2 plug should always extend past the end of the barrel. Having your grip blocked by the barrel is pseudotactical BS. I'd like them similar to the Pgp Fasst changer plugs though not quite so far in front, extending 1 1/2 inch past the barrel muzzle is perfect.

Things that I'm not in the market for myself but that folks might like are a belled magazinewell guide that attaches by replacing the screw at the lanyard loop for instance.
A Barrel block that accepts the new low profile red dot sights, they're using on realsteel pistols would be huge.

What they're finding is that the iron sights still being in play is an enormous advantage in acquiring or reacquiring targets. They let you get on the red dot faster, IMO, and keep you on it better in motion...

One idea I gave to Allen Paintball and they blew off was a 12gram holder like the trap/skeet holders:

Here's a cheesy one, vinyl coated spring steel works better.

These work great and give a small footprint on the harness.

If you don't like any of those I have a giant pile of stickies with ideas on 'em:ROTFL:

LOL

I was thinking about picking up a cheap TPX and turn it into a full race gun. Freak bored would be awesome.
custom compensator
a top rail that wraps around the body and connects to the bottom rail (just so it looks cool) with a micro sight
body milling
custom grips

Chop 2 inches off the slide and make it a compact. rifled barrel for First strikes. constant air. and 2 tone.

dundadun 12-18-2012 10:42 PM

Dual air?
Make the front of the gun and the rear air adapter both take cci bucket changers, but both need a check valve to not loose air. Front bucket would be like AS's extended plug and the rear would be like a "beaver tail"

New trigger (adjustable?).

Larger, easier to access magazine release made of aluminum (maybe an ambidextrous one?)

I want a 12g Delete Mod! I only want to use CA, so a fitting that connects the remote line adaptor to the regulator, without having to use the internal air line going to the 12g.

And while you're at it, maybe a smaller, shorter remote line adaptor.

Aluminum extended magazines, maybe only 10-12 balls though, nothing ridiculously large (First Strike Mod?).

A milled out barrel block (think M92) so you only see the barrel.

Cocker style detents.

First Strike breech that isn't done with a hacksaw.

I like the micro reddot sight idea above, maybe mounted to the breech via small screws?

I'd be down for at least two of everything I listed!

First strike ready

10rnd mags

Freak'd barrel

12g delete mod

Proconnect remote line

Flipped mag release

super_stanchy 12-23-2012 11:42 AM
