Mockup:

Reg/ASA will be moved forward and tucked into the back of the feed so that it's flush with the back-cap. Breech will be covered with a relatively plain tube body, hardline from top of bucket to the reg fitting. This design keeps it a 2-tube height, allows easy access to the reg for adjustment and makes it almost impossible to hold the pistol at any angle where excessive amounts of liquid will enter the reg, even pointed down or holstered. The reg can supposedly handle CO2 but I like the extra safety of keeping liquid out of it.

Or you can use a mini asa with built in regulator, and not have to worry about headlining to the reg at all. And maybe find a way to route air thru the frame. And screw the quick change into the asa.

Oops. Nevermind. Just read the rest of the thread.

Even if I could use a Mini/Axe reg I probably wouldn't, for personal reasons, but for what I'm trying to use it for it's just not going to cut it anyway. Palmers makes a reg/bucket changer combo but it's difficult to adjust (has to be adjusted with the 12g out meaning every time you want to make an adjustment you have to de-gas) and I'm not sure how well it would perform all the way down to 190psi-ish or less. They're more intended for LP Phantom and Sheridan setups that don't go much lower than 450 psi.

I like how this looks so far, especially because it minimizes the amount of parts I would need to buy. I'm really only about $50-75 in parts away from having something workable here. Well, $50-75 and quite a bit of machine/tinkering time.

Not yet. Every time I tried to grab some 12ies and a bag of paint this week I got called away to something else. Silly work, expecting me to be productive and crap...

Square body instead of round?

That way you can hold 2 of them side by side and flat, in one hand, while the other hand reloads them.
