All I can say is that the one thing I've learned concretely about pistol play over the years is:

Try to find something better, but never give up what works until you do.

My proof that the next setup works will be when I realize the Zeus has a half-inch layer of dust on it and it has fallen to the bottom of my pile of paintball gear in the closet.

I'll only comment on the T8.1 as that's my only experience:
When it works, it works. I haven't had mechanical failure (just yet) but i've had the following quirks:
1. Paintballs sprung loose into mag holsters. Don't use soft ones that rub against the ball retention pin. Ones that I have used that work are the Milsig FazMags and, tada - the stock Tiberius ones.
2. Not inserting a mag forcefully enough, then trying to reinsert the mag without first clearing the released ball in the chamber. I then skewered said ball onto the CO2 pierce pin one scenario day, and from then on every mag I inserted unceremoniously vented it's entire CO2 until I cleaned the pistol!

Otherwise I have had no problems, even after taking the T8.1 apart numerous times.

I had this happen with my first T8. It wasn't easy to pull the barrel with the jam either, I was super frustrated for about ten minutes. Aside from that one instance I've had zero issues with my (now) 3 Tib pistols. I don't know if It's due to luck or obsessive post game maintenance.

Does a pump pistol interest you? Maybe less problems for you.

But really a place where you can loosen your tie... We'll see what happens. I figure that with the right set of people to begin with, we could have a good forum.

Otherwise it could go right down the drain...

So we'll see.

If you're lucky enough to find one and you're willing to dump out the cash, keep a lookout for a AGD Sydarm.

and I've never had back luck with any of my sidearms. my T8 had been my workhorse since I bought it.
but my pride and joy have to me both of my AGD sydarms

No. I would rather stick to a full size for pump play :]

Though I do have a PMI1 that works great

I'm not inclined to take any sass off my pistols. I will grinder them out of existence a piece at a time until they work.

That being said I've noticed some things in all pistols.
The tolerances are such that 2 pistols of the same model don't necessarily work identically. The 3357s were the ultimate case of this, I went through dozens over the years I kept 2 running.
Ironically the zeus' are more dependable BECAUSE they're more sloppy inside, IMO. They give dependable service most paint-most weather, but even regulated they lose to a well turned out TiPX or T8 in shot to shot consistency.
The TiPX(I'm at 6) is pretty tense inside. Springs wear or get crushed, orings can be shaved. Added to that, in my opinion, is that they need 2 cases of paint through them to fully break in. When I get a new TiPX, I take a case of the cheap stuff and put it through there before I attempt to use it in a game.
My oldest one is in it's 14th case and is now a full tippmann. If it's had less than a case or 2 since the last disassembly I just swab it and toss it in my box.

I've done that a couple times, others I've let try them out seem to do it too. Huge PITA to clean the mess afterwards. It's the only downside mechanically. Though I still consider the grip and mag size to be a downside structurally.

My T8 is my workhorse, its a heavy pig and people are not a fan of the mags but I can load them mid game quite quickly now. With about 8 or so cases through it its been my longest kept pistol. I've had it for going on 2.5 years now. It has gone through some changes but Ive kept this one.
Ive had other Tiberius markers, Top loading zeus's and like a dozen TPX's. The other ones have issues every now and then but just didnt sit right with me.

My T8 just feels right in my hands and if I do run into an issue I have never had the said "issue" for more then 10 minutes before I fixed it. My T8 gets taken apart(nearly every part taken out) cleaned, lubed then reassembled. Shoots darts and always has.

Had this happen to my TPX, but the ball didn't break. I had to poke both sides with a screw driver to let the paint out then dig it out with tweezers. Haven't had anything but trouble with it.

My PMI-1 Has worked 99% of the time I'v owned it. My all time favorite marker.
