This... Is all Stark Pursuit's fault...

I had given up on mag-feds... I was content with my Zeus. And then Scott, and Ian, and all the minions over at Milsig had to go and build a better TPX magazine. Naturally, I had to respond. I had to get ANOTHER TPX (this one brings the total I've owned to 4 now). And of course, I just couldn't leave the damn thing alone. This is what happens when you combine a bored mechanic, a free machine shop, and the culmination of knowledge from dozens of overkill projects before it...

Milled the breech for First Strike readiness, polished breech/bolt/powertube/spool housing, modified stock detent, flex honed the barrel, checkered the front strap, modified a pair of Hogue Goncalo Alves grip panels to fit, checkered them too, added medallions, made a custom brass trigger, added a screw to the CO2 cap for leverage, extended the mag release, massaged the magwell for smoother loading and so Zetamags will fall out freely. I think that just about covers it .

I really like that trigger. I've been wanting to make a different trigger from brass for a while now, I just haven't had the time. Did you just copy the stock trigger or are there any changes to it for improvement?

I'm digging the changes to the grip, honestly it looks really close to what I would like mine to end up looking like.

And when the springs start binding and the paint starts falling out because of inconsistencies in the spring tension on the zmags you should be able to purchase this one.

I am only partly joking - let us know how you fare with the zetamags

and I do like the trigger

Vultures, the lot of you!

And the trigger is pretty much a copy, the only real change is the external part, in shape, reach, and thickness.

If you have it opened up and would be nice enough to take pictures of the trigger, I would appreciate it.

I've thought about whenever I make my replacement trigger, using a roller bearing for the pivot point. I doubtful that it would make a difference though.

How did the trigger push bars come out? Did they fix the mushy trigger pull?

That's the one bit I haven't gotten back to yet. Just using the plastic one for now. To be honest the new trigger feels so different (it's a little tighter on the pin than the stock one, so less play) I can't really feel any of the "mush" I felt with the stocker. We'll see I guess, chances are I'll be bored again some time soon and have the urge to make chips on the mill.
