Yeah, when I first got mine. I had already read about people's issues so I spent a little while trying to figure out exactly how to get reliable locks out of them. But every time I pushed the follower down the spring would begin binding and makes an awful nails/chalkboard like noise.
So I replaced them with dmag springs. And its just so much nicer feeling.

Just ordered some gen 2s for a few different projects, perfect size for a Tommy gun or Kriss.Hoping for the best.Wondering if Tippmanns new magfed will use these also
May wind my own springs using flat wire if I have binding problems

I have had the same problem since day one (believe they are gen1), its like they refuse to lock no matter how much I try to finesse and sweet talk them. When I look on the rap4 website there are 14, 20 and 30 round dmags. I assume the correct replacement spring would be the 20 round spring or the 14?

I apologize for the necro post...

Edit: NVM Just pulled up stark pursuit.com and see they have an upgrade kit from gen1 to gen2 . They also mention a v3?
