I've owned Alot of pistols, and I play with them almost every game I go to.

Pistol play is Fun, but you need alot of patience to get good. that being said, On to the hardware.

Zeus series are Fine, if you don't mind the Brick Size and shape. A properly modded Delta-68 would be your best bet from this series. They're milled a bit lighter, and I like the Snapchanger. Going to replace the Urethane Rings with Teflon.

USP by PMI are my Personal favorite. They take 90% industry standard parts (Spyder internals, PMI blowback frames, Bolts, Etc) They have some drawbacks, like the feedgate (Takes Practice to reload Fast, but it is possible) And the horrid 12 gram change. Again, Slow, but the gun itself is The lightest of all the Semi pistols. And for the cost of a High end pistol, You could carry four of these things, and just play Pirate style.

I own a Tiberius, And they have their own perks. They're not as easy to handle as a USP, but they shoot better, They have a better (And Removable!) barrel, Detents, They're regulated, And they're balanced over the hand. I like Almost everything about my TAG, Except for magazine cost, Mag construction, and Trigger speed. It'll empty your mag before you know it.

All these pistols have huge barrel bored however. You'll need to find big paint, or have the barrels bored for inserts.

Try a few before you buy if you can. And consider the T-9, if you don't want to play pistol, you can convert to a mag fed or Hopper fed rifle.

Really, it all depends on what you're comfortable with. You want to get to the point where you're not aiming a gun, you're pointing with your finger, and people put their arms up, With paint on their masks.

I have had a micro squall and personally I would probably choose something besides it. They are darned heavy for one thing, and if you dont like the sheridan frame a .45 frame conversion costs a lot of money.

The t8 would be handy because reloading is all 1 action, insert a magazine. It means you arent remembering when you need to change 12 gram, in relationship to when you need to reload.

For long games the t8 might not be the best, but for anything reasonable they seem to make a lot of sense.

PMI USP's are good for a cheap blowback and piranha parts are common as can be.

I would hold a T8 before buying one. The grips (on the trigger frame) are very big. It did not feel comfortable in my hands.

Good Luck!

I wish my PGP was as easy to use as my Phantom Micro, but I like pumps more then semies, so I can't really speak for them(semies), except that I've been out gunned by both Tac8's and Squalls. But I'll get even... some day.

mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

I'll cast a vote for the stroker as it's based off the pgp which is already a great marker in my book very comfy in the hands and with nice trigger feel. I played with a tac8 before and honestly didn't think much of it, it was heavy and for the price felt very cheap. I'd go with a pgp over it anyday even as a stock gun cheaper and better built as for when the pgp becomes a stroker then the tac8 is just not even in the same league basically like seeing a rec player versus dynasty imo

stroker all the way tac8 is a waist as a main pistol

Just to add some to what I put in the PM,
The Stroker's weight isn't as big a factor to me in a primary. Even a Mini with even a tiny HPA tank on it weighs more than a stroker.

As Heebs and others said, 10 round tubes are the best case scenario. A tag8mag weighs as much or more as a full 100rd pod. Using the new quick change adapters, I am able to use my TAG as a primary in open play, but I don't unless someone is using my G2. Tubes rock, not only because they are so light and fluffy, but because harnesses have been developing for them for 20 years instead of 1 or 2. I do like it for a backup gun though. Some people are thrown off by the grip... The purpose behind people caring about this in real guns is managing recoil, however the TAG has effectively no recoil, so even people with small hands(I know a 12 year old who uses this as his primary, and hits well) can learn to shoot it perfectly. Though it does seem odd at first, it works fine.

The strokers and squalls, as I said IMO!, with the 'RP' style feed would be nice, but the stock ones reload just like a $100 overlord! There's a minimum speed you have to be able to reload in, whether you're using a pistol or an EGO08. If you take too long, people can move on you, this minimum has no mercy. I've seen a lot of people quit playing pistol over the years, never knowing if they could only reload a second or so faster, they'd be back up to fight, instead of hit reloading.
With the 'RP' feed, a squall would have no equal, given my style of play. I'm frankly surprised noone has had one made yet, it seems so obvious a quantum leap for the gun to me. That feed system is the only thing that keeps the Sydarm from being a novelty.

I like my Cheapo zeus types, because of their simplicity and how easy they are to work on. They are effective and dependable as long as you can be your own airsmith, since the customer service contest between Ariakon, Miltec, Core, 32degrees, psychoballistics and Warsensor for who can be the worst in the industry is still going strong.

A sleeper choice would be the new AFT, which combines the PMI USP with the magazine system of the AFT:

However $375 is a joke for PB play.

Tac-8's are awesome.

Worth every cent many times over.

Thanks guys, really appreciate it.

AgentSmith, if you sent a PM in the last day or so, I didn't actually get it. Thanks for posting in the thread. I figured it would catch your eye!

I think I'll be getting a Tib 8 for fun the factor. Its a bit hard to resist, but for now also get used to the Miltec style guns and just keep the Tib as a backup, or for a limited paint type game. If a well priced stroker or squall pop up FS, then maybe I'll grab it to check it out. But for now I think the Miltec/Tib 8 combo will a challenge enough.

Desert Ducks are pumps only right?

That AFT is pretty cool btw, if the mags were only about $15. If that were the case, it might start looking cheaper than the Tib. But at $35 a mag, its the same problem all over again. Bummer
