| MCB Member | I'm not sure, but I doubt you could get a side-tube squall. Both sides of the body are already occupied by the pneumatics (ram on the left, lpr on the right).

| yeah I was afraid they would be in the way. I'm sure there's no way I can get a completely side mounted feed tube, but I wonder if it's possible if he could mount it diagonally without it having feeding issues. Meaning above the lpr (or ram) and offset, but adjacent to the barrel. I haven't seen a picture of a Squall from the back, but I have a feeling there most likely wouldn't be enough room to mount the feed tube diagonally and still have room for sights. Not to mention throwing the entire gun off balance.

| Forgive my ignorance, I'm still trying to catch up on some of this lingo. RF? that common sense voice in my head, which I don't listen to often, is telling me it probably means reverse feed. Am I totally off?

| I would get an 'RP' style feed that loads from the front. Because the squall would no longer need the rear feed plug to load with, you could move the Ram to the top of the gun behind the magazine, the Rock LPR into the bottom tube, like they do with the C/As. A forward facing ASA in taclight position could take your Line SI lever changer(the only thing ever to match the quicksilver), or a 30g like my G2: This would make a normally functioning squall that improved balance greatly and IS ONLY ONE TUBE WIDE. Therefore, way better... As we've discussed in other threads, I'd contour the covering gate for the feed hole so it nested the 10 round tube in the right position to load when you slide the tube against it. My Grandpa used to say "Rob, they call it average because half of everybody's stupider than that, not because we're all average!" and IMO that's why the quicksilver isn't offered anymore. ![]() I had one on a PPS Pumper and you simply buy your 12ies in bulk. Then you sort them by length while you watch tv sometime(I had a sweet little 12g pachinko machine Rob

| MCB Member | Another option might be to run a 12 gram bucket changer from a vertical or back bottle asa. That would move the LPR into the bottom tube and open up the right side of the gun for your ammo tube.

| I own a .45 framed black zinc coated Squall and I love it. It has a QEV on it, can't honestly say that I notice a massive difference but I'm sure it helps something. I like the 45 frame BUT the standard Sheridan frame is still very nice and comfy. I wish I could have a QuickSilver on it but I've got just a fasst changer with a dropout. Works well.

| Unless you have unlimited pockets (and even then, maybe not), most of the above suggestions won't even be considered by PPS. Despite their slogan, they rarely deviate from the set design of their guns. You will be able to get a .45 frame (costs an arm and a leg - $270? That's a big chunk of change), and you may be able to get the spring feed offset slightly to one side, but the LPR and Ram are on either side of the barrel, so you're limited there. PPS won't start changing the ram's location - the chassis all start out as Typhoons, basically, so you're stuck with stock locations. I'd rather stick with the Sheridan frame with a PTTJ (not sure if they even do that anymore, with the advent of the .45 frame), but that's my preference. QEV's are not standard - great option, if you ask me. They greatly improve the cycle speed and feel of the gun. Barrel length - I believe the shortest you can go is 10 inches, but you may be able to go as short as 9. Jordan
