| Leaving your pistol gassed up? Can you leave your pistol gassed up with a 12gram for a long period of time without it sustaining any damage? I was also wondering if the gas would slowly leak out? Thanks in advance. |

| Ive heard of them being gassed up for years with no leak. I think it may deform seals after a while though.

| the MilD MOD | It's better to store markers unpresurized for safety's sake alone in my oppinion. Plus it can lead to other problems over time, as Azzy mentions. Many years ago, I forgot to take a 12gram out of my PGP and didn't touch it for a few months. This lead to the 12 gram getting stuck and special measures had to be taken to get it out again. |

| I accidentally left a charged 12 gram in a DSDS for a couple of weeks. Was still charged when I found it, and didn't seem to screw up any of the seals or anything. You should be OK leaving one in your pistol for a couple day scenario game or whatever, but I wouldn't leave one in for months.

| Try not to leave it charged up if you can. It'll put less stress on the entire system. It's just eaiser.

| i've left 12 grams in some of my guns for months... didn't seem to hurt anything. if i'm not mistaken, i think i read somewhere that Tim McMurray recommended that you store your pellet rifles with pressure in the valve. i could be wrong but i swear i think i read that he recommends leaving a close to empty 12 gram in the gun. |

| yup, got the same advice from an old sheridan airsmith, he said it helps keep the seals from drying out...but i wouldn't do it to a pgp on a regular basis...

| ahh... i didn't know that. makes sense i guess. thanks B. but what about co2 guns that have a check valve. say for example... a nelson based gun with a AGD Micro CA II with the check valve in the stock? should you keep it under a little pressure and leave the remaining two shots in the system after taking out the 12 gram? |
