Well I've read that 12 Grams such as Crossman are shorter than ones like Leland. If you have ever seen Leland 12g, it has the 3 different levels of "diameter", the smallest part, then a slighter bigger part, and finally the greatest diameter in the greatest portion of the 12g. I believe Crossman are also harder to puncture, and because they can move around in the 12g chamber, it doesn't help pierce them....

I used to use the Crosman 12s, but have been spending the extra buck or two and getting the Copperhead 12s. They seem to puncture easier and I haven't gotten a dud one yet. The first 12 gram I ever tried, was a Crosman, and it was a dud....

According to the tech guy that worked on my marker, they are updating parts and such, which i can only hope to assume a longer pierce pin.

I hope so Butch. I would rather not do something to my gun to make it work out of the box (hard case in this situation... although it seems kind of week to be a hardcase. In fact, I wish they had one bigger like the Tiberius boxes. Oh well.).

Put the foil or shim under the puncture pin cap.
