Nerve eye ribbon

OK I have had good luck over the years with all of my nerve's eye ribbons they have always worked and I have 6 nerves. Anyhow I have been thinking lately I would be really screwed if they started to break just from age the guns wold be worthless really. So that got me thinking maybe it would be a good thing to find a company that can make them and I can order a bulk of them (maybe 50 or so) and never have to worry about it again. The problem is I dont know the technical names for what I would be looking for. so does anybody know what exactly I should be searching for I tried ribbon cable but that looks more like connected wires not exactly right. How about the pitch of the connector end. or even better the model of the actual eye unit.

I found a couple places that might be able to make them. the ribbon as far as I can tell is simply called a flex circuit. I am sending them out to the companies to reverse engineer and give me a quote for 50-100 of them. I am looking to get that many mainly because when you send out a request for quote for 1 or 2 parts either you get ignored or you get an astronomical quote price. So most likely I will be buying a bunch so if their are any nerve owners out there looking to fix or get some extra eye wires I might have a few soon.

I got a quote back from one of the places it would be 17 each for 100 units or 1700 so screw it I was hoping for maybe 5 for 100 that would have been 500 I can swing that but 1700 no

...don't nerves use the same reflective eye as the shocker and impulse

yes but not the same length. I am pretty sure shocker ribbons are too short. I would guess impulse are too long but thats neither here nor there since they are even more difficult to find.

If you're that worries about it, Id call GOG and see if they have any new old stock and buy em in bulk. They still have warehouses of shocker parts.

After a bit of research, punisher's pb has them new for a whopping 30 bucks.

I also found out that the emitter is different between the nerve and the shocker, not just the length.

I wonder if you can use a cocker eblade eye?

I did end up doing that. I got 2 for 60 the price is a little steep but its still better than 1700. While I was at it I bought a new upper board also. I put the new upper board in and new eye ribbon and the eyes still dont work I tried several other combinations of boards and eyes to try and determine what is defective. I think it is the connecting ribbon I just don't have the time to fix it right now. Winter will be here before too long and I can mess around with it then.

Gonna ask some obvious questions here.

1. Fresh battery?

2. Eye installed right? Silver contacts on the ribbon should be facing the upper board.

3. Eye clean?

4. Gun in vision mode?

1. yes checked voltage with meter

2. yes

3. just out of the box and cleaned with electrical component cleaner

4. yes gun shoots fine if vision off

5. yes I did the put in paintball push it out put it back in trick to simulate the bolt moving.

6. yes I tried new eye with known working upper and lower board yes it worked

7. yes I tried new upper board with known working eye and lower board works

8. yes I tried new eye and upper board with known working lower board works

9. tried new upper board and eye with unknown board did not work

10. tried known working upper and eye with unknown board did not work

* for the above series of experiments I never removed the harness from the lower boards

Before the experiment began I swapped my blue yellow guns board with my orange gun.

I know that the blue yellow guns board was working when I swapped it and I changed all other components so the only remaining thing that did not change with the orange guns harness always stayed with the orange gun and thats the one that is not working therefore I kinda came to the conclusion that it must be the harness.

I think the shocker harness will work just fine so you can grab one of those for like 5 bucks.
