09 Impulse I just Acquired.... Pics and Video...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXtAMA9M9a8

Just recently purchased this 09 Impulse. Its unmolested and I even have spare SP Impulse detents for spares. I've always wanted one and this come up for sale from the original owner. Shoots smooth. Its a little noisier than the G6R but that could be barrel related.

How does it shoot compared to the G6R? Or compared to an Ego? I've always liked the look of them but have never gotten to shoot one.

It's not quite as smooth or refined as the G6r. However, that could be a lot in the tuning. At one time I was teching 5 G6rs for the team. I haven't spent much time with the Impulse. I think it's more of a collectors marker than a full time use marker because of the fear of wear and not having parts readily available. The impulse was ahead of its time and if given a better opportunity I'm sure the aftermarket would have made it a much more refined and tunable marker by now.

Yeah, it was a pretty cool design. It just came too late for SP.

Can you post pics of the internals when ya get a chance? Is it more like an Ego, timmy, or just simple rammer like the old Impulse? I also wonder if the HPR is the same as found on a Luxe.

Dunno if thats from the original owner unless you know them personally. I had that exact marker with a red Violent thumbwheel and a small nick where the bolt pin taps the body, as well as a spot on the frame.

However, most of these were taken off the market by DLX during the recall.. and Empire is now re-releasing the Impulse for 2013 (Ive seen it, its awesome) SO the 2009 Impulse should become a marker collectors really want to have. In fact, if you ever sell it please let me know.
