Good news on the Enmey breach threading

So, thanks to Yoda for pointing me in the right direction of the right tap, I was able to order one online.
I took my three powertubes and the tap to a machinist, who did further research.
He made a dummy as a test to get the right pre-drill size right.
Just spoke to him, and they should be ready tomorrow.

I am letting him keep the tap. So if anybody, after seeing how my Enmeys come out, want to get this done, you will be able to send your powertube to him.
I'll get all the particulars, price etc, tomorrow.

Cool beans.

Now, do you know if the body will have a lip to stop the feedneck? Reason i ask is i think the ion has it, so the feedneck can't thread clear into the breech, theoretically. Or if it doesn't, some other marker i'm thinking of probably has it done that way.

I'll see tomorrow

I really want to try separating the two halves of the body, as the barrel threaded section appears to be attached with just some white glue. It'll probably detach easily with some heat but I don't want to risk breaking my eNMEy until after the trigger mod is out haha.

I wasn't sure if it was a separate piece.
So, if that's the case, then one could use an original Ion, cocker threaded front, right?

If you're referring to only the part in front of the detent, there is a fair chance so (depends how much they've changed). The entire front block including feedneck area? nope. I don't have any Ion parts anymore so I'll try and make a new one.

I don't think the threaded piece is separate - it looks like the part that is separate is just the shroud over the barrel threads that has the lobe on it for the front most screw that attaches to the VASA.

The parts manual for it on the GoG website (not the user manual, check under parts in the support drop down) has CAD cutaway views of the body. Which sadly appear to have been compressed or rasterized so I can't use snaps in AutoCAD to perfectly duplicate the internal features, but at least it helps get some damn close approximations.

Damn, that's a shame. Oh well, at least the mystery of why they did that is solved.

They're not threaded, they're press-fit. Good luck getting them apart lol. Glad to hear about the feedback threads though.

Is this to have an autococker threaded breach?
