gadget grip doesn't seem long enough

the gadgit grip works quite well on my shocker turbo, but doesn't seem to have long enough threading to stay on my pv1. years ago, i had the more rounded smart parts grip that you see on automags often. that worked fine. so what's the deal?

The front of the frame may be too thick for the stock screw to fit in it. I had that problem when i got a gadget grip for my older shocker a while back. All i did was match the threading and put a stud in there and cut it to length. Worked great and its still in there today. The thread should be 1/4-20.
