help with vibe questions ..........

ok, i took a vibe as a partial trade not to long ago. I thought id sell it off and move on . NOT . this thing actually fires nice , so i think i might keep it .
my questions revolve around upgrades - i dont think this thing has eyes , so if i wanted to add an aftermarket board - how do i add eyes to this ?? also ive seen some that have color inserts in the body - are these available aftermarket? As far as regulators go - if i was to add a reg which one would ya'll recommend? what psi do these run ?? i got a nice freak with it so i think im good barrel wise ....i assume there are aftermarket bolts for these ? ( i looked on ebay and didnt find much )

all that said - and me being new to the vibe - im open to opinions......

thanks for your time

I'll be looking for your other replies as well.

We had a good rash of vibe mods with Titus' group buy...

Vibe Group Buy Status Thread

Imo, putting eyes in them is barely worth the effort. The (non-gog) body/can is not milled for eyes, so that makes it a big effort. If you run at the design limit of 10 or 11 bps, the bolt is pretty soft on paint and eyes aren't a big deal. If you decide you want to push a vibe faster, you have to wonder if you would rather work with at least an SP1 instead.

If you use HPA, you can probably find a better regulator (at least easier to work on).

y0da900 has a good thread on the dual o-ring on the bolt tail of aftermarket bolts and the effect on efficiency. I think the extra o-ring is worth while, but you need to get a good deal on a bolt considering the market worth of a vibe.

The stock ASA tends to crack at the 1/8" npt fitting.

Let me help you out here. You can buy a whole new setup for eyes with a blackheart board from GOG or actually Shawdawg here sells them.

However here are some links to a few projects I have done with vibes, hopefully they will help

The stock regs work excellent,I'm told they are the exact samething as on the Lux. They have never faild me. Just give them new Orings and new lube. The bolt can be the ones you see in my projects I have posted. These will reduce any kick you might have.

The only difference between the SP1 and the Vibe is:

SP1 hs a longer breech front to give it the vented tactical look and also has a longer front hose on the solenoid.

Vibe has shorter breech and shorter front hose on the solenoid. Other wise all the parts are the same internally. When you order a new solenoid, let GOG know if it's for a vibe or SP1.

If you need anymore help just let me know. I've written up a repair how to on the noid hose as well.

As far as boards, I just shoot the stock board, they hold up very well against any gun on the field. Just put it in PSP mode and you are ready to go.

Hope this info helps.

Later,
Blackrain

...
blackrain, did your Titus vibe come milled for eyes? I know we ended up with various versions, but I didn't know there were any differences in the cans.

To be sure, I do like the vibe reg (that's one reason I bought a vibe). It handles full CO2 pressure let down to 200 or so psi and has that nice relief circuit on it, but I wouldn't think they would carry those features over to the Lux.

In order to have eyes, you have to buy the milled breech from GOG with a black Heart board. Or if you can find someone who can loan you a milled breech, you can send it to a machinest and have him copy the milling pattern.

I find the stock reg to be an excellent reg.

All the Titus vibes were rentals, so no eye versions on any of the breech, unless some snuck thru lol.

Yeah, just saying it probably doesn't have a place for eyes as is.

Take it apart and look at the breech or take a picture and post it so I can see it.
