I used a 3-way valve and configured the hoses exactly like stock. The normal rear banjo set up is used. But I have not used/seen a SITH body, so there may be an issue I’m missing.

He did use an Autococker "4-way" valve, and yes, in theory, you could route air to the firing chamber through the valve, but you'd get HORRIBLE shootdown/velocity problems. The firing chamber would be trying to recharge and dump at the same time. Even with a direct line running to the firing chamber, you need to feed the firing chamber with larger than 1/8” hose (I tried, it didn’t like it). I expanded/refined his design a bit to make it all internal. Here's my thread on Pbnation: my mechanical ion project (pics) - PbNation and here’s the layout: ![]() Hope that makes sense to you. It all physically fits into the same places as a stock on. It will work fine with your body. The only deviation from that ‘schematic’ is that the “T” fitting I used was comprised of two separate pieces in order to reduce hose size going to the 3-way. If you already have the bolt and a QEV you will only need: Smart parts hose kit - $3 Clippard smav-3 valve - $16 (@ airsoldier.com) Reducing “T” fitting - $7 (not sure, I got it locally hard to find online) And a couple set screws to hold the valve down, should be pretty easy/cheap. Let me know if you have any other questions.

| i am all for the ion , but the resale value is droping like a lead balloon. I like them they are a great deal for the price. All the upgrades you can get is crazzy. I have shot 1 and it was worth about $1200 (gun only!!!) it shot great.... ($1200) |

| Since this thread has been brought back from the dead, somewhat needlessly, Has anyone tried this on a Vibe, I hear they use the same bolt as an Ion, so It should be possible. The Idea of buying a brand new one and making it shoot more than 11bps by making it mech just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. |
