| MCB Member | Ok i guess i should have follow a few link first (I hate links) before i post a question. And i tried searching for mechanical Ion with no results. Anyway I built one on the exact same principal as ZDS paintball link shows a under the thread The Ion i want. So I suspose this thread has no where to go. |

| MCB Member | In mine the hoses all go inside so from the outside it looks like a standard ION. I went by to see a CNC machinist friend of mine this morning to go over my design for a four way that limits the dwell. and when finished it should be a stock replacement with new trigger so it will drop in to any ION with no modification of the factory grip frame or breach/firing can and should allow the use of after market body kits with no modifications. I'll see about getting picks ASAP so you can see how I'm doing it all. Duck out |

| coincidentally i just made a mech ion. i based mine off Ydna's (from [ZDSPB.com]) but made some changes. mine's totally internal and cannot be detected visually at all. i simplified his design and ran all hosing inside the gun. instead of a 4-way to control "dwell" (like you mentioned) i used a bolt with dual tail orings so it seals the firing chamber. therefore when you pull the trigger the entire firing chamber is always dumped, therefore i'm running my pressure near 140psi and still getting 280's fps. here's a thread on it: my mechanical ion project (pics) - PbNation if you don't read the whole thread i shot it all day on co2 and got about 900 shots from a 20oz with no problems (no breaks at all). just adjusted the trigger last night and now it's walkable (vid on second page of thread). further plans may include a 'cocker style LPR before the 3-way to lower the pressure holding the bolt back. should get less kick, better efficiency, and lighter trigger pull, but may slow down cycle time a bit. |

| Active Member | maybe you could try a fabco air MSV-2. Thats what most Pneumags are running for lighter trigger pull. My pull on my pneumag is only 2-3 mm. Now you guys have me looking for a broken Ion which with my hatred for SP Ill have to rename something else. Link to MSV-2
