| MCB Member | Impulse vision Well I bought my first electro gun. I like the looks and feel of the older ones. Smart Parts Vision Impulse Fade Black & Gold - Upgrades - (eBay item 110162067374 end time Aug-26-07 14:01:28 PDT) The new ones remind me of a line from the movie We Were Soldiers Mel ask Sam Elliott what he thought of the new M-16. He says something about a lot of plastic and feels like a BB gun. Great line and great movie. I think I got for a good price so long as it is as advertised. |

| Not bad, I recently picked up a mostly stock Vision Impulse myself. I actually like the heft of it over the newer lighter guns. Mine came with a NDZ feedneck and Magnetic Blade trigger and I payed $100. Which from what I've seen seems to be about the going rate. So with the freak barrel and NDZ internals and LPR setup you got a decent deal. The NDZ internals are kinda hard to find. Only part I was curious about was the Philly American Board it listed. Only boards I've ever seen for the Impulse was the Blackheart and the WAS Equalizer. |

| MCB Member | Ok a update I got the gun this afternoon. Looks good but it came with no paper work or anything. So I have a few questions. 1: and most important. I run 4500 lbs carbon fiber tank with high out. some where around 800 psi. Can I use this or do I need to get a low pressure tank? Theres a reg on it "7000749 center flag made in usa in-line reg" the line going in says HP in the 90-250 is plugged lp gage side is plugged gage on top left side 0-700 centerflag So i take it its set to run high 800 in I would guess. The plugged 90-250 psi would be for low pressure tank. 2: How often do I need to tear it apart and clean it. Ive read that your suppose to grease the bolt and such a lot, as in frequency not quantity (slick honey or smart parts). 3: it suppose to come with a "Freak Barrel w/ 14in tip" I thought they had inserts in them. I uploaded two pics of barrel 4: When I turn it on in eye mode "fast flashes" should i be able to see the eyes on. If anyone can answer me fast that would be great. Im dying to try it out but I wont hook up air intil I know. | 1. You should be able to use your high preasure tank as long as the reg on the gun is set to lower the preasure below 200 psi. I usually set mine around 160 but thats with stock internals, you should be able to go lower if it has NDZ internals. I'm really not familiar with that particular reg thats on the gun so I would highly recomend finding some more info on it like how to adjust it's output preasure. If you go too high you risk blowing your noid. 2.I just clean mine after everyday of play. Just a bit of lube on the o-rings is all. According to Smart parts your also supposed to clean the noid after every case of paint. But I've heard most people don't actually do it that often. I cleaned mine when I first got the gun and so far have only put about half a case through it so haven't cleaned it again so far. 3. Yep that appears to be a freak barrel without any inserts. You'll need to get an insert before using it. Most fields will either have them or be able to order them or you can find them online. You can get a full kit or just buy 1 that fits the paint you use most often. 4. No you can't actually see the eye it's not a break beam eye so theres nothing to see. It just senses if theres paint there. Hope that helps some. I love my impulse and tend to be a bit obsessive about things so even though I haven't owned it long i've tried to learn as much as I possibly can about it. |

| MCB Member | I believe its a cricket board. Light is blue and it chirps kind of like a cricket I guess. I will pull out grip and look soon. I just shot it last night all seems to work. I have to read up on how to set the dwell and velocity. It seem to be shooting low. Also need a insert for the barrel. Just having a hard time getting HP air out here. The only place that I know of with in 30 min only had 2100 lbs. update Im not use to not having a safety on a gun or such a soft trigger. If you can call it a trigger per say. Anyways I got it shooting better. Had to turn up the dwell 4 beeps. I need to get to a chrono. I hope they have one tomorrow. Make note. no safety on gun turn off before bringing in house. Need to clean up paint mess in kitchen table. Good thing I always point gun in a safe direction. Last edited by op4_camper; 09-01-2007 at 10:39 AM. |

| lol, yeah I learned real quick about always turning the gun off. I had mine go off while going down the steps and scared the crap out of me cause I thought the gun was off. And about the board the only one I've had any experience with is the cricket board, I've heard the blackheart also chirps, but no clue about it other than i think the board itself is black. |

| Pumper | Not sure about the reg but if it had the Maxflow you can use CO2.... maybe add a anti syphon tube to a 20 oz tank and you will get a lot of shots off of it. Peace
