| Ion aftermarket bodies Newbie to Ions here OK so after reading about building an Ion from the ground up I have had the urge to follow (some youtube videos really have me hooked). My question concerns the aftermarket bodies available: Bob, True Bob, and Semi Bob. Which one comes stock on an Ion and, besides disassembly's differences, is there a performance advantage to any one of them? |

| Not sure what you're asking... True Bob or Semi-Bob bodies offer no performance advantages, they just make maintenance easier because you don't have to take the entire marker apart to clean the bolt. I have the deadlywind foehn 2.5. It is semi-bob, but all that really means is that I have to loosen the middle screw, remove the back screw, pull out the back cap, and use a small wrench to unscrew the firing can. The new Ion XE appears to true-BOB from the factory, btw. |
