Are you sure they didn't turn the pressure down for that or do some other trick, such as camera work or internal work on the gun?

I'll always be happy with my L10.

It might have worked on the guns they used in the videos, but thats not what they sent out to the public. And the fire-bolt makes it worse.

Actually, I picked up an SP-1 recently, and well, if you said that the anti-chop doesn't work, you're right, although if you said that the anti-chop does work, you are also right. First time out with it I threw on a gravity feed hopper and started playing, and I chopped a couple balls throughout the day. Second day using it (same hopper), I couldn't chop a ball if I tried. I cycled through the firing modes, and could feel the bolt bouncing off a ball at times. I don't know what changed or why it didn't work the first time, (maybe the operating pressure? I turned the velocity down about 15fps on the second day, or it could just be "breaking in") but it works now and thats what matters to me.

I'd rather have eyes than an anti-chop bolt of any kind.

Sad that a popular upgrade would make that benifit go away

I've heard though that the SP1 and vile will be getting eyes? Maybe not stock, but will have the option, I've heard that rumor somewhere...

The blackheart board will have eyes.

Also, the low force bolt is caused by the exhaust from the solenoid off the front side of the bolt. It does not vent off as fast as an ION which will reduce the force of the bolt greatly. F=M*A. And the bolt is lighter as well.

Sean, are you saying that the anti-chop/low force feature of the bolt is lost by adding a QEV?

There goes one of my Vector's favorite features in the name of ROF >.<

Yes. Why did eyes even come around? Because the guns had to slow down to allow the balls to drop because hopper technology was not there. Now with the lower ROF on guns.. it is becoming a moot point. Me personally, I am ok with my 11 bps. I'd rather have the low force bolt then have higher ROF and an eye. But that is just me.

I have had no problems in the SPPL using it.

Hrm. I suppose that makes sense, as the slower venting of the gas at the other side of the ram would act like a shock absorber, both slowing and cushioning the bolt's forward movement.

Yep.. you got it. That is why their is the air vent manifold for the Shocker. It allows you to fine tune the exhaust to slow the bolt down a lot so you can shoot really brittle paint.
